WARRANTY POLICY INFORMATION
Thank you for your purchase! Sunward America is proud to be one of the top 50 construction machinery manufacturers in the world. As part of our commitment to quality and reliability, Sunward America provides you with coverage of your new equipment.
Please reserve a few minutes to familiarize yourself with our warranty information guide. It contains all the information you will needed in the unlikely event that your Sunward equipment should fail. Please record the model, serial number, and date of purchase of each item on the warranty registration form in the dealer portal.
Note: Warranty coverage may differ for optional attachments.
Warranty Start Date
The warranty coverage begins on the date your Sunward America product is first retailed. This is the registration date, which is on file with Sunward America and also located in the dealer portal.
What is a limited warranty?
Warranty is a written guarantee by the manufacturer of a product, promising to stand behind their product and repair or replace parts which have a defect in materials or quality. The term “Limited” means the warranty is for a specified period; and may have certain other restrictions.
The Sunward America Limited Warranty
Sunward America will replace or repair any genuine Sunward America part found to be defective of quality or material through their certified dealer network or authorized repair facility. The defect must occur during normal use of the machine and within the warranty period of coverage. The repair or replacement will be at no charge for either the part or the labor will be reimbursed. Repairs must be completed using only genuine Sunward parts, or Sunward approved parts.
Sunward America Right to Inspect
Sunward America or their authorized representative reserve the right to inspect the Sunward America product to determine if a defect in material or quality prior to the approval of any repair. It is the end user responsibility to deliver the product to an authorized Sunward America dealer or Sunward America approved facility for this inspection.
Location of Warranty Repairs
Repairs covered under the conditions of said policy must be performed by a certified Sunward America Dealer or approved repair facility within North America.
This warranty applies only to Sunward America machines and implements sold and serviced in North America, Central America, and South America.
YOUR SUNWARD AMERICA LIMITED WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS. YOU MAY HAVE OTHER RIGHTS WHICH VARY FROM STATE TO STATE. SUNWARD AMERICA DOES NOT AUTHORIZE ANY PERSON TO CREATE FOR SUNWARD AMERICA ANY OBLIGATION OR LIABILITY OTHER THAN THAT STATED IN THE LIMITED WARRANTY. THE IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE ARE EXPRESSLY LIMITED TO THE OF THE EXPRESS WRITTEN WARRANTY. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL SUNWARD AMERICA BE LIABLE TO THE CUSTOMER OF ANY OTHER PERSON FOR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL, ECONOMIC, DIRECT, INDIRECT, GENERAL, OR SPECIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF ANY BREACH OF WARRANTY, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
It is the dealer’s responsibility to maintain all Sunward equipment in accordance with the instructions provided in the service/operator’s manual. Sunward America requires that you keep records and receipts; you will be asked to prove that all service and maintenance instructions have been followed. All equipment is required to be operated in a safe manner and only used for the purpose of which it was designed. If while operating, a defect of material or quality occurs, the operator shall cease operation immediately until qualified repairs can be made.
If operator continues to operate equipment after failure it, may not be covered by this warranty. Sunward America Warranty Service should be contacted immediately so repairs can be made in a timely manner.
What This Warranty Covers
This warranty covers defects of material or quality of Genuine Sunward America parts only.
This Warranty Does NOT Cover Failures Caused By:
This Warranty does NOT cover replacement of Wear or Maintenance items (unless defective) including, but not limited to:
· Air Conditioning controls and components
· Alarm (back up)
· Cables, control (external)
· Doors, door latches, handles, or hinges Horn
· Lights (operating or warning), bulbs
· Maintenance items such as belts, filters, fluids, lubricants and all routine service supply items
· Mirrors, mirror brackets
· Multiple fuel injector FAILURES occurring at the same time
· Seat assembly, seat belts
· Tires, rims, valve stems, and brake discs, including brake bands
· Tools – All ground engaging tools
· Undercarriage components that fail as a result of normal wear
· Wear Items such as pins, bushings, teeth, cutting edges, wear strips, weather stripping, etc.
· Windows, wiper blades
This Warranty does NOT cover:
· Pickup or delivery of the equipment
· Rental of replacement equipment during the repair period
· Products which have been declared a total loss and subsequently salvaged
· Overtime labor charges
· Freight charges for replacement parts (dealer or customer responsibility)
· Travel time or mileage (dealer or customer responsibility)
· Service calls (dealer or customer responsibility)
· Transportation of equipment to dealer from operating environment or other location (dealer or customer responsibility)
· Repairs performed by Non-Sunward America approved facilities
How To Obtain Warranty Service
To obtain warranty service under the terms and conditions of the Sunward America Limited Warranty, you must deliver the product to an authorized Sunward America dealer or authorized repair facility, along with proof of purchase. Sunward America recommends that you take your equipment to the Sunward America Dealer from whom it was purchased for the warranty repair. If that is inconvenient, it may be taken to any authorized Sunward America repair facility. In those cases, in which it is inconvenient to deliver the equipment to the dealer, the warranty repairs may be made by the dealer or authorized repair facility at the equipment location. However, please note that Sunward America or the dealer may charge for either pickup & delivery, or for travel time and mileage. These charges are not covered under the Sunward America Limited Warranty and are the customer’s responsibility.
If you decide to sell your Sunward America equipment, any remaining warranty coverage may be transferred to the new owner. Contact your Sunward America dealer for details. ADD TRANSFER POLICY HERE.
Right To Make Changes
Sunward America reserves the right to make any changes to a Sunward America product at any time without incurring any obligation with respect to any product previously ordered, sold, or shipped.
Length of Warranty Coverage
The length of warranty coverage is not the same for all models. Some models have a specified time period only (24 months, two year, etc.) while others have both a specified time as well as an hourmeter limitation. In the latter case, the limitation first occurring (date or hours) determines whether or not a product is within the warranty period. Depending on which Sunward America model you purchase there are usually two levels of warranty coverage. The BASIC warranty covers the entire unit, whereas the POWERTRAIN warranty covers only the driveline and engine components as specified on the following page.
The original battery supplied with the product has a 12-month, non- prorated warranty. Genuine Sunward America replacement batteries have varying warranty periods, please contact your Sunward America dealer for specifics.

Length of Warranty for Service Parts
Service parts are warranted for 90 days from date of purchase. However, if the part is installed on a unit which has more than 90 days remaining on the original warranty, the part is warranted for that remaining time. If the part was installed by an authorized Sunward America dealer, the labor to replace that part is also included in the warranty coverage
Warranty Coverage Effective for Units Sold from 1/1/2020 – 12/31/2020
Five Year or 5000 hours, whichever occurs first (12 months on tracks)
Two Years or 2000 hours, whichever occurs first
One Year or 1000 hours, whichever occurs first
Proration may take place depending on the diagnosis of failed part.
YOUR MACHINE IS SUBJECT TO THE WARRANTY POLICY PERIOD IT WAS PURCHASED UNDER. Changes in policy that occur after the initial purchase of your machine do not affect your current machine’s warranty policy.
Resolving Warranty Concerns
Normally, warranty concerns can be resolved by your dealer’s Service Department. If the problem is not resolved to your satisfaction, you may want to speak with either the owner or general manager of the dealership. You may also contact the Sunward America Warranty Department. The addresses, and the area of coverage of each region are shown on the back cover. Before writing, please have the following information ready:
1. Your name, address, and phone
2. Model and Serial Number
3. Date of purchase
4. Hourmeter reading (or estimated hours)
5. Detailed description of the problem including any necessary photos
